Water from everywhere
But let's start a few days earlier. At this time the world looked quite different. Wind, very low temperatures and lots of rain made the installation of the water park a herculean task. No wonder, if not only the divers get wet when setting the anchors, but the whole crew has to change their wet clothes again and again. The installation of the aquafunpark lasted for several days.
Columbus send greetings
The lido at the Raunheimer Waldsee was named after the fastest ship of Christopher Columbus - the Pinta. It was one of three ships with which the explorer embarked on his journey across the Atlantic at the end of the 15th century. The name has been defined by the operator of the facility, Germano Salernitano.
And that's not all. His PINTA BEACH offers a wealth of real holiday experiences and relaxation: fine white sand beaches, lounge and nudist area, restaurant and bar, children's playground and wake board course – and now the largest aquafunpark in Germany.
Everything at its finest
On May 15th 2019 the time had come. The bathing season was opened in the presence of representatives of the city and the press. Although - nobody actually wanted to start the swimming season at the rather minimalist water temperatures. So the guests took a tour of the entire complex and concentrated on the fine appetizers of the exquisite catering.
The highlight - from our point of view, of course - was the official handover of aquafunpark PINTA BEACH to Germano Salernitano by aquafun Marketing Director Ingo Popp and Managing Director Rainer Trachim (from left to right). Of course connected with the best wishes for a wonderful summer and endless fun for all visitors.
