More than three years of preparation

The Baltic Sea Resort of Boltenhagen and aquafun have been preparing this project for a long time. At the end of 2020, the spa administration came up with the idea of creating a floating water park to increase the appeal of the beautiful seaside resort and attract even more tourists – especially families. However, coronavirus put a spanner in the works for the next two years. After many discussions with all the responsible in the Boltenhagen and the relevant authorities for land and sea, the final approval in 2023 unfortunately came far too late for a professional implementation. As a result, the opening had to be postponed by another year.

Now the time has finally come: opening is on June 1, 2024 – weather permitting. The agency wave ~ EVENT COMPANY will operate the aquafunpark Boltenhagen – naturally supervised by lifeguards – with its professional crew. “We have received a lot of support since we started our first social media marketing activities at the end of April. Not only from official bodies, but also from the public”, says Marco Wittek, “captain” of the wave crew. Marco continues: “We've already had a number of young and elder people apply to help with the ticket sales and vests rental. The local Sparkasse and the building yard of Boltenhagen are also supporting the project.”

Everything, that's fun on and in the sea

The floating aquafunpark offers a wealth of attractions. Lots of elements for sliding, jumping, climbing and bouncing. Water fun for the whole family, for big and small, for young and old. A challenge for some, pure fun for others. Tickets are sold online and at the so-called “Beach Base” directly on the beach in front of the park. “The Caribbean-style hut will definitely be a meeting point for anyone looking for that certain something on holidays in the Baltic seaside resort of Boltenhagen,” says Marco. “And maybe one or two birthday parties will also take place at our beach base,” he adds with a smile of anticipation.
